Training Policies
Placement Policy
Many classes have prerequisites which must be met prior to registration. If the student’s skills are inadequate to the level of instruction, the student may be asked to leave the class. In such cases, class tuition will be neither credited nor refunded.
Registration Policy
Pre-registration is required for attendance to any Essex Computers class(es). Students may register up to three (3) business days before the start of a class. For on-site and/or customized instruction, registration must be completed at least ten (10) business days in advance. To facilitate onsite scheduling at the time of registration, client must provide (2) two possible dates for each session contracted. To confirm registration and scheduling, Essex will make every attempt to contact students via phone and/or e-mail. If confirmation of any kind is NOT received or the student(s) have additional questions, it is the responsibility of the company and/or individual registering for a class to contact Essex Computers directly via phone at (973) 883-4006

Contact your Essex Computers Sales Representative to receive more information about the class you are interested in . Your Essex rep can inform you of specific class topics, alternate dates, other course offerings not listed on our web site, prices, registration and cancellation policies, which courses you are prequalified to take, as well as any other questions you may have. If you do not currently have an assigned Essex Sales Representative or you are a first time customer, please contact us by phone at 973-883-4006 or via e-mail at training@essexusa.com

Be certain to read and understand the registration and cancellation
policies before enrolling in a class at Essex Computers.

Download a copy of our Class Registration Form from our web site.
When filling in this form, please remember to provide ALL essential
information such as:

Company Name or the individual responsible for payment

Full billing address and payment information
-
Names of EACH individual student to attend
-
Direct phone numbers for EACH individual student attending.(This
is needed to insure we can contact the students directly in the
event of a school closing or other related emergency.)

Preferred Platform (Mac or PC) for EACH individual student
(Please make sure that you directly ask each individual student(s)
you are signing up as to which platform they prefer. This will
insure that the student(s) can have the best learning experience
possible when attended a class offered at Essex Computers

Make sure that your registration form has ALL required signatures.
Registration forms WITHOUT all proper required signatures will NOT
be processed.

Submit your registration form with all payment information via U.S.
mail or fax ONLY (e-mail requests will NOT be accepted) to Essex Computers,

Please keep in mind, course dates as listed on our website are subject
to change and availability. Your submission of a registration does not
guarantee your seat in any class, as the course you are requesting may
have been filled just prior to your registration submission or postponed
due to low enrollment. Please be certain to await a confirmation before
making any non-refundable travel or hotel reservations. It is recommended
that students contact Essex Computers directly 24 to 48 hours after submitting
a class registration to confirm that it was received.
Will my seat in class be reserved immediately?
Our classes are small, only three to eight students per most hands-on
courses, in order for students to get the most out of their training.
Due to the limited number of seats available for each public class we
offer, we cannot reserve any seats in class until payment in full is received.
If you are paying the course fees by credit card, your seat will be reserved
as soon as the card payment is processed, usually on the business day
following the receipt of your registration.
If you wish to pay by check, money order or money order, your payment
must accompany your registration form. Those clients with preestablished
credit terms with Essex Computers will be billed accordingly.
As always, please confirm with Essex Computers:

one to two business days after submitting your signed registration
form that it as been received and your payment is being processed

two to three business days prior to start date of class to confirm
your student(s) seat(s) and platform of choice are in order as well
as to confirm that the class will open as planned
Please note that our usual cancellation and rescheduling policies are
applicable.
Cancellation Policy
A student may cancel a registration up to (5) five business days prior
to the start of the class without penalty by submitting a WRITTEN request
to Essex Computers. Upon written request from the student or company,
their payment will either be credited towards a future class or refunded
in full in the tender of original payment.
Individual public course students may cancel a class and receive a refund
less a $100.00 administrative fee if the written cancellation request
is received less than (5) five business days before start date of class
but at least (3) three business days prior to class date. If a client
fails to submit a written cancellation request or cancels less than (3)
three business days prior to start of class, the client will be charged
the ENTIRE cost of enrollment.
Rescheduling is permitted in accordance with the Rescheduling Policy.
Essex Computers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any class
at any time. In the event of a cancellation, the client can reschedule
to take the class at a future date or will receive a full credit or refund
without any additional fees. Credits are applicable towards any future
public Essex class offered at their facility. Refunds will be issued in
the tender of original payment at the written request of the client.
Concept Course (i.e. DTP I, DTP II, Web Concept) students may cancel a certification course and receive a refund (minus a $200.00 administrative fee) if the written cancellation request is received at least (5) five business days prior to start date. Students who take at least (1) one class in a certification course and who decide to cancel are responsible for the entire certification class fees. Students who cancel enrollment in a Concept Course less than (5) five business days prior to course start date will be charged the ENTIRE cost of enrollment.
Rescheduling Policy
Individual public course students may reschedule a publicly offered
class without charge if rescheduling is requested at least (5) five business
days prior to the class start date. Rescheduling less than (5) five business
days of the class date but at least (3) three business days prior to start
date of class will be subject to $25.00 rescheduling fee, which will be
billed to the individual client’s payment method, including those
paying with credit cards. Students rescheduling with less than (3) three
business days prior to class start date will be billed a $50.00 late rescheduling
fee. All requests to reschedule must be submitted in writing via fax or
U.S. Mail to Essex Computers, Inc.
Concept Course (i.e. DTP I, DTP II, Web Concept) students may reschedule a Concept Course without charge if rescheduling is requested at least (10) ten business days prior to the start date of the course. Rescheduling with less than (10) ten business days of the course start date will be subject to $100.00 rescheduling fee, which will be billed to the student’s payment method, including those paying with credit cards. Essex Computers Inc. reserves the right to reschedule a class if number of participants drops below the minimum required enrollment. In no event shall Essex Computers Inc. be liable for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages, resulting from rescheduling of training.
Essex Computers reserves the right to reschedule any public class due
to low enrollment. In this instance, students will NOT be billed any rescheduling
fees.
Customer Satisfaction Policy
Essex Computers Inc. is committed to customer satisfaction in regards
to the quality of the training we offer. If for any reason a student feels
he/she has not received the full benefit from a class, he/she can retake
the same class at no charge. The request to audit must be made in writing
within (30) thirty days after the class in question has completed.
The individual class to be repeated must be on the same version and platform as the original class. Students are allowed to repeat a class only one time. The repeating student may attend same program & level from registration form based upon availableclass space, provided there are at least 1 other payibg student in the class.
The student must exercise his/her right to audit a class within (6) six month of the original class date. Repeat student are not legible to receive additional course materials such as books. No student repeat requests will be honored after the original six month period.
Essex Computers Inc. reserves the right to substitute a similar class if the original class is no longer offered. The Repeat Clause in our Customer Satisfaction guarantee policy ONLY applies to publicly scheduled and advertised classes and does NOT apply to onsite, customized, one-on-one training, “Dates To Be Announced” or Concept Courses.
